In 2014, the AIGA CO Professional Grant was created to give back to you–our sustaining and supporting members of the professional community. The grant enables you to further develop your career, meet your professional goals and continue the lifelong learning process of design.

The Professional Grant may be used to attend conferences, participate in learning a new skill, or finish that unfulfilled project in your sketchbook- these funds are just for you. Maximize your membership and grow your passion for design– we want to support and nurture our design community by supporting you, our foundation members.

The AIGA CO Professional Grant honors the late Robert Taylor, whose designs, leadership and commitment to the design community fueled inspiration and advanced design in Denver. Mr. Taylor was an AIGA Colorado Fellow Award Recipient, and served on the Board of Directors for AIGA and ADCD, as well as the Advisory Board for AIGA Colorado.

Our past winners include: Katherine McCoy (2014) and Marni Myers (2014) who were each awarded a $1,000 grant due to exceptional projects that showed dedication to the Colorado design community.

We ask that you share your project within 60 days of receiving the grant. How you share it is up to you – but we encourage you to write an article or produce a video for the AIGA Colorado website, create a workshop, or open your studio for a night of design to talk about what you experienced.

When receiving the Robert Taylor Grant funds, you agree to AIGA Colorado promoting the grant by announcing you as the recipient and sharing your project and goals publicly.

Follow the link below.

Draft a proposal of 500 words or less about your project and goals. Tell us what you will use the funds for, what you will gain from it, and why it will benefit your career and the design community.

Describe how you will share your experience with the AIGA community.

The AIGA Colorado Board of Directors is proud to offer this opportunity to help you advance your design career in Colorado. We are ready and waiting to hear what you need and how we can help. Apply today!
